Welcome to my Blog!
I am very inexperienced in this and haven't written a blogpost before.
Why should you read this blog?
If you are interested in and want to get inspired about how you can live as a disciple to Jesus everyday, both when the day is tough and when it's easy, you probably will find some inspiration here.
My purpose with this blog, is that perhaps it perhaps can inspire others to take "one" step closer to Jesus, one step, and then another, towards and finally into, a living relationship with Him, which is a possibility for each one of us. If only one person by reading these blogposts is guided into such a Relationship, with the Lord Himself, with eternal consequences, it is worth it.
My first blog will be about who I am, as it can be interesting to get to know a bit about the person woh writes, in order to be able to make a good judgement if it has any worth or not.
Then let's start...
I am a person wh loves Jesus and who walks with and follows Jesus daily as a disciple to Him.
I also disciple several people in this too, both localy, regionally and partly globally.
I have walked with Jesus for many years, since I was around 20 years old, when I met Jesus for the first time. I didn't see him, but He met me, as an answer to a prayer.
I grew up in a non-christian home, but I Learned about God and Jesus, in a "Sunday school" I went to in the neighborhood I lived in as a kid. Later my knowledge increased through a program called "Ansgars" (it was basically Boy Scouts) that the Swedish state church had. After this my contact with the church ended.
It wasn't until I started upper secondary school, when I was 18, when I got a classmate who was christian, that I realized through him, that you can have a personal relationship with God, that you can get to Know Him; and after some time I started to seek that. personal relationship with God, that you can get to Know Him; and after some time I started to seek after this.
My meeting with God, was that He confirmed to me that you indeed can get to know God.
After this I started to read the Bible on my own; and now it was like the whole Bible "opened up". Stories I had red before got a new depth. Something was very different compared to earlier.
But... and this is something to take note of:
I still didn't walk in complete freedom; as many other christians I "believed" in Jesus.
I called myself "christian", but in hindsight, lacked knowledge in what it really mean. I still lived, consciously, in certain sins, and tried to the best of my ability live a christian life. What I hadn't discovered in the Bible, and which nobody has told me, was that the way to a real relationship with Jesus, comes when a person becomes "Bornagain" (Joh 3:1-8). When I understood that, I contacted people who could help me with this - and I finally came out to freedom.
In connection with that, I also learned that as disciples to Jesus we can pray for sick people, lay our hands on people with some kind of sickness, and then they will be cured. I received this experience, and this I continue to experience and grow in continuously.
I also learned that as a disciple to Christ you cannot "live in sin", but you can "fall in sin", but with the promise that if we repent from the bottom of our heart to Jesus we will be forgiven our sins, and can continue our walk forward in freedom. I learned that as disciples to Jesus He see us as "Holy", not as "sinners". We can call ourselves "children of God" which we are after our bornagain experience.
I also learned that during the rest of your life as a disciple of Christ you need to continuously"renew your mind",meaning to focus on Jesus, learn to discern His voice among all the other "voices" that want to take control over us in life, and start to obey/follow it - the good Shepherd.
This walk I walk, I want to invite you to, you who read this, if you are not already walking that walk as bornagain.
Read about us who we are, we who are part of this network Jesus Fellowship Network. If you want get in contact with any of us, perhaps because you want to learn more, or because you feel drawn to and feel inspired to start a similar walk with Jesus, don't hesitate to contact any of us in the Network, and we will guide you.
God's peace!
