I HAVE DECIDED. I WANT TO START FOLLOW JESUS

Is this you? Have you decided you want to get to "know" Jesus Christ "for real"?
If you mean this with all your heart", meaning that something inside you tells you that you must must have this no matter what, then God has already started work on you inside of you, and started to draw you towards Him. :-)

The first thing you need to do, is to REPENT towards God. (If you wonder Why you need to repent, go to the Menu and find TEACHING and read what you find under the heading "WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?")

REPENTANCE
What you do is something like the following: you say aloud to God (and mean it in your heart): "God, I believe You hear me when i speak to You. I have for a long time lived for myself, and have been my own lord over my own life. I havn't known You. I havn't lived as You want me to live, close to you, in relationship with you, with your son Jesus Christ as my role model for my life. I want from this moment on, You to be the Lord in my life.
God, now I come to YouI need you. I repent towards You. Be the Lord in my life. Save me, set me free, right now."
Often though, you need to have a conversation, a "repentance talk", with a born again believer in Christ, a conversation in which you repent from every specific sin in your life. This often include forgiveness, of God, other people and yourself, and a break and renounce of possible soul-ties, and of the consequences of possible curses put on you, by others of by yourself.

What you do from this moment on, is that you choose to walk in a new direction, now towards/to God and do His will instead and, to the best of your ability, follow and obey what He says/teaches in the Bible. When we do that, the promise from God is, that He forgives us our sins, and "cleanse us" from what causes us to have feelings of guit or shame for this (1 Joh 1:9), and our conscious regain its sensitivity for what is right and wrong. This is what the Bible describe as our ”heart of stone” is switched for a ”heart of flesh”. God will then not any longer remembers these sins (Hes 33:14-16) (Hebr 10:16; Hes 36:26; Rom 2:15). Fact is, Jesus came to earth to "take away our sins" (1 Joh 3:5IF (conditional), "we continue in faith"” (Kol 1:23) in Him, which means, that you follow the way He has opened up for us (Jak 2:17) into a living Relationship with Him. (Joh 3:3-7 REPENTANCE TOWARDS GOD:).

The second thing yo need to do, is to be baptized in/under water into Jesus Christ
(The meaning of this, you can read about under "Teaching" and the heading
"Baptism in water and the Holy Spirit").

The third thing you need to do, is to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

When this has happened, you are "bornagain a", you have been born anew into I Gods Kingdom, into Gods family, you are a New person, and have received a New start in life. :-) The Relationship with God is restored.

Now a period of Discipleship starts, in which you can start to Walk with God as a Disciple to Jesus..
This is a lifelong journey.
